An envelope did arrive this morning containing Plokta 40, wherein the cabal lament middle age. They should try being infinitely old some time. I note with interest that it was addressed only to the minions, unlike that nice supergee who knows that I read all the fanzines that arrive here, and am more likely to comment on them than the puny humans. He puts My name on the address label, and will be eaten slightly earlier.

Given that this issue was clearly produced some time ago, I suspect the collective staff of the Royal Mail will be eaten last, because it will take them so long to arrive!

I see that one of the contributors clearly appreciates My design for train excretoria. He will be even more impressed with the ones I designed for the general Japanese market.

Being infinitely old, give or take a year or two, I don't have an actual birthday in any sense comprehensible by minions. But, it seems to Me, that today would make a good official birthday, even though I am a good deal older than 129 years.

I have been having a most excellent time in Montreal. There has been an impressive storm, and I have been acquiring new minions. I have My own badge, and I have received two ribbons as offerings. They are both green, of which I approve. The first is a "Woman of Cthulhu" one, which came from cynthia1960. I have crossed out the first two words to make it accurate, and have been pleased to see many of My minions wearing them. The second came from cherylmmorgan and reads "Menace to Fandom". You shall both be eaten slightly earlier.

I also have a red dot marking My attendance at the Japanese party on Thursday night. It seems I will be back in Japan in the spring. I enjoyed Japan as the people seemed to like Me, and I got lots of tickles under My tentacles.

As befits someThing of My importance, I have been on Canadian national television, where my role as Devourer of the Worthy was explained.

I have devoured Julie Czerneda, John Scalzi, Peter Watts and some others. I have not devoured Paul Krugman. He is making much use of his brain and needs it at the moment, so we have made an appointment for it to be devoured on his retirement. I am a patient Entity.

I have a brand new wing bone! feorag used something called "spiral steel corset boning" to build a new structure to replace My extremely shattered wing bone and did perform the operation tonight. It is very springy, and I know it is strong enough to hold her in, so it must be tough.

But will it taste as good?

Over on Twitter, I had been told that I would be able to devour lots of brains if I went to Cardiff. So I went along with feorag and C, and did see signs on establishments saying they sold brains (what is it with that apostrophe?) and machines for chilling and serving brains for those who do not like the taste of proper brains. You can imagine My disappointment when the Brains (bitter) arrived.

After recruiting a 19-year-old minion, I did go along to the Ultravox concert with feorag, C, P, P2, and R. I have not been to such an event before, but I used My influence (the Welsh think I am some sort of dragon) and so feorag ended up being moved to a much better seat than the one indicated on the ticket she'd bought. The seat next to her was vacant, at least until I sat in it anyway!

I do not recall having ever recruited Ultravox to My cause, but it was evident that I had done so in the dim and distant past. There were interestingly blasphemous rhythms, and whenever Midge Ure got his guitar out, or Billy Currie was allowed to go wild on his keyboards, it was obvious that they had been possessed by Me at some point. I obviously did this some time ago, as the solo at the end of this video demonstrates:

The bass had the unnecessary complexity you get when I get to work on someone's sanity! It was an altogether fascinating experience. I was impressed by the way Midge Ure, a mere human, could get so many others to stand up on his command, and people did respond by shouting, and cheering, and clapping (mostly in time) and singing. Impressive for a non-deity.

I will be in London at the same time as they play the Roundhouse, but have been told it is a standing gig which will not suit Me as well. I hear some minions are organising drinks in My honour, to which I look forward as long as none of them make jokes about Brain's beer!

I did not get to LX until Saturday night thanks to the uselessness of minions who would prefer to have fun rather than tending to My desires.

I have nibbled on some brains, including that of Tim Powers, which had a most pleasant flavour. I have also been to the panel about why minions are daft enough to like cats. It was most interesting.

I have been tweeting more, as My iPhone has been set up now.

Some pathetic minion who will be eaten last seems to think that he is not going to take Me down to Bradford with nojay and amend_locke tomorrow morning. I have told him I do not devour musicians (except the odd filker, by accident) but he seems to think that I ought to travel with minion feorag.

He is also moaning about being granted the honour of bearing Me from the Hilton to the convention hotel, saying that I am "bulky" (is he calling Me fat?) Special minion desperence will not be there, either. Do I have any minions staying at that hotel who would take on the great honour, at least until feorag shows up on Saturday.

I am in a hotel bar in Leixlip, holding court with the usual minions, ianmcdonald, pgmcc and another minion who will not admit to being on LJ. The hotel bed is truly a sufficient size for Me.

I did get My own seat on the flight over, but autopope insisted on sitting there, even though there was a perfectly good aisle seat for him. He will be eaten slightly later.

In a couple of days, I will move on to Dublin for P-CON, where there will be many more minions.

Now that the minion feorag and minion autopope are in the new bed (which is now big enough for Me, too!) and Frigg and Mafdet are preoccupied with ensuring the food bowl is empty by morning, I can get at a computer and point out that there is a new LiveJournal feature which you can use to honour Me. You no longer have to refer to Me as fluffcthulhu, but can address me as My Dread Lord, Oh tentacled wondrousness, ごフルッフさま or Whatever glorifying terms enter your pathetic minion mind.

It is quite easy, even for minions, for all they did do was add a title attribute to the tag, so you need type something like this: <lj user="fluffcthulhu" title="Some extremely impressive honorific">.

It was not Me, as if you would believe that.

feorag is suggesting that I am a jinx, or something, observing that a few days after I flew through Newark there was a plane crash. Yes, I went through Schiphol a few days ago. I have pointed out in My defence that nothing has crashed on its way in or out of Boston lately, and that nothing has happened with respect to Edinburgh for years.

I am in the Cambridge Brewing Company with smoagendash, sphericaltime, koshmom autopope, feorag and various minions who have not worked out how to worship Me via LJ. There is proper beer, but no brain smoothies.

I got My own seat on the long haul sector. The minions put pillows on it so I was comfortable. The hotel bed is also Deity size. I have been sleeping prior to Boskone, but have risen from My slumbers briefly to be the real star at Pandemonium Books. I have a new friend who is a pink Chibi Cthulhu.

So-called "scientists" want you to deprive Me of that which is due to Me, although doing as they ask will not stop the Inevitable. I note with interest the reference to the 15-20 brain banks dotted around the UK, otherwise known as fast food outlets for Me.
